We are Celebrating our 14th Anniversary!

Cross the threshold at Time Well Spent and travel 4,000 miles from Summerville, SC to a Scottish tea room.

Owner Eve Mickendrow has captured the essence of a Victorian tea room, with the relaxed atmosphere of the Scottish highlands. The burgundy covered tables are set with china and crystal she’s collected over the years.  Eve’s collection began as a child when her grandmother gifted her with her own pieces of crystal and china, Eve’s love of the gold rims, flower borders and whimsical prints continues today.  The table settings are as unique as the patrons that walk through the door each day. In this, her 14th year as proprietress of Time Well Spent, the tea room has become a favorite of Summerville locals and visitors to the Charleston area.

The tea room is open for Lunch
Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 – 2:30
and hosts Afternoon tea
Thursday through Saturday 2:30-4:30 by reservation

The menu features three entrees, a salad, popovers and desserts. Eve’s menu changes daily depending on what is available and what she feels like preparing.  “I don’t like to plan my menu too far in advance … That way it’s fresh.”

The Rose Room is available for private bookings such as baby and bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, receptions, birthdays, anniversaries and any number of special occasion themes. Eve also offers catering services for your special occasions.  The Hydrangea House Chapel hosts weddings and special events by reservation.
